For the purposes of Takamul, a wholly owned invention is one that has been created entirely by the applicant and submitted to Takamul.
However, Takamul recognizes that research is frequently undertaken on a collaborative basis. The collaborator may not be eligible under Takamul. Consequently, Takamul is prepared to support the element of the invention that has been carried out by an eligible party. Takamul deems that if an eligible and a non –eligible party jointly own a patent application, that the eligible party should receive 50% of the amount otherwise reimbursable.
More details about the actual amounts reimbursable are set out in Schedule 1 of the Terms and Conditions which can be found here Terms & Conditions.
