    ADDED issued a resolution for the formation of a committee for reviewing and studying patents to be headed by HE. Khalid Mohamed Al Kaabi, Executive Director of Policy and Legislation Affairs. The Committee will study and review patent applications as per Tekamal’s regulations and instructions and the laws applicable in the UAE.

    The inaugural Takamul Defence Innovation and Technology Conference (DITEC) 2015 proved a great success with over 300 delegates and speakers attending. The conference took place on 25 February, and was organised by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC), the government entity established to support the development of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in Abu Dhabi. Through its wide range of initiatives, TDC is at the forefront of fostering an STI talent base and driving innovation in support of realizing leadership’s goal of making the UAE amongst the most innovative nations in the world.

    During the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference 2014, the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) signed a partnership agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to develop Intellectual Property (IP) processes and manage the IP portfolio for its group of companies including the Petroleum Institute. The partnership further reinforces the progress of TDC’s innovation support program Takamul, which has been designed specifically to help Emirati Enterprises and government entities as well as universities and individuals to protect and commercialize their innovative ideas.
